I am a Syrian doctor living in the United Kingdom. I work in the department of Psychiatry at the University of Newcastle.
Present Project
Event-related potential (ERP) investigation of the effects of adrenal steroids on the neural correlates of episodic memory in depressed patients and healthy volunteers.

Personal Interests
I enjoy reading, surfing the Internet, walking and swimming. I like to take part in activities devoted for charity.
I have a special interest in writing poetry and short stories. Some of my stories have been published in several Arabic magazines in the UK, KSA and Syria. Also I won the BBC, Arabic Service competition prize for short stories in 1998.
